Discover the wild side of the riverfront—after dark!
Join Memphis River Parks at River Garden on Saturday, April 25 at 5:30 p.m. for a Moth Party + BioBlitz celebrating the City Nature Challenge—a global movement to document wildlife and support biodiversity.
We’ll use the iNaturalist app to record observations, and no experience is needed. Whether you're a seasoned nature lover or just curious, this is a fun and accessible way to explore the outdoors.
River Garden’s own naturalist and native landscaper, Harry Babb (@habitatharryms), will be on site to guide you, answer questions, and share insights about native plants, pollinators, and the hidden life all around us.
Bring your friends and family and come ready for an evening of discovery, community, and hands-on citizen science!
Schedule:
5:30 PM – iNaturalist Training + BioBlitz Begins
6:30 PM – Break for Snacks & Refreshments
7:00 PM – Moth Party*
8:00 PM – Event Concludes
*Moth bands will be provided, but feel free to bring your own wings and dress the part! A moth party is a fun way to attract our nocturnal pollinator friends and to observe and document those observations to the bioblitz.
