Join Memphis River Parks, Disability Connection Mid-South, the STAR Center, Tri-State Adaptive Sports Association, and the Memphis Federation of the Blind for a day of fun, free, adaptive sports programming on the riverfront. Move, learn, and play at this free event that spotlights community resources and ways to make public spaces and recreation more accessible for all!

We’ll start the morning with a White Cane Safety walk to celebrate the right of blind and visually impaired people to move freely and independently with a cane or guide dog in our city. Then, we’ll have fun playing adaptive sports lawn games and taking part in a free community resource fair, and we’ll wrap up the day with organized games of the team-based sport beep kickball, an adaptive version of a familiar favorite!

The Monogram Foods Picnic Deck is located on the South end of Tom Lee Park, in between the Sunset Canopy and the Flyway. Parking is available on Riverside Drive in Tom Lee Park, at the Ashburn Coppock parking lot at 655 Riverside Drive, and in Downtown Memphis. From Downtown, an ADA-accessible entrance to the park can be found at the Carlisle Cutbank Bluff, located at the intersection of Vance Avenue and Wagner Place.

This community event celebrates adaptive sports and the disability community in Memphis, and it is absolutely free and open to the public. All are welcome and invited!
